Amanda

My name is Amanda Bosley and I fell in love with the training aspect of dogs when I went to watch a Canada Celebration where the Regina Kennel Club performed. I said at the time that I wanted to do that and in 1994 when I received the first dog that was truly my own I started taking classes at the Regina Kennel Club. Attridge’s Amanda’s Princess (Princess for short) was a petite Shetland Sheepdog who would do anything I asked of her. She was a tolerant little girl and it did not matter to her that I was not a not an experienced handler, or even that I liked to dress her up in cute little outfits.

I attended classes for the next several years, and even apprenticed but was not able to teach classes. I finally reached the last hurdle in the long list of requirements in the RKOC apprentice and trainer guidelines five years ago when I turned 18 and I have been teaching classes ever since. I took a couple of years off as an obedience instructor to become accreditated positive reinforcement instructor and to teach elsewhere. However, I continued to teach agility classes and RKOC and eventually returned as the methods used at RKOC achieve more reliable results in a shorter period of time.

I teach Beginner Obedience , Advanced Beginner obedience, agility (beginner, offleash, intermediate 1, 2 ). I have titled 3 dogs to their Companion Dog title in both CKC and ASCA. My dog Toby had two legs towards his Companion Dog Excellence before I lost him to cancer last year. I have many Flyball titles on my dogs. The highest level we have achieved to this point is fmx (flyball dog excellent).

I have attended courses for aggressive dogs and various other things. I am always looking for new information to increase my knowledge as a trainer, and am an avid reader of training methods and information.

I currently have three different breeds of dogs in my home, with various personalities. I would love to help you work with your dogs. Please register to join one of my classes, so you can see how much fun you can have with your dog.
